Guru - Review

I would try to do this without Spoilers.

Awesome flick, with great characterization. I would say its a must watch movie. Bachchan Junior's best performance till date as far as i m concerned. Madhavan was good for his part and Mithun da deserves a special mention for his work. Among the ladies: Aishwarya - I liked her for her acting also which otherwise doesn't happen in her movies and Vidya Balan - Every time i see her movies i am enchanted by her voice.
Its not that this movie got me dreaming and all that... but i do want the dvd of this movie in my collection.

Dont care if the movie is inspired by Dhirubhai or any other bhai... wat mattered was it entertained me for 3 hours and after i came out of the theatre i carried a feeling that i would love watching it again. It is a 4/5 movie for me.

I wil review it with spoilers when i watch it the 2nd time. ;)

Haven't yet watched it ..but from the trailers it seems like this is a first for Rai.. the first movie where she isn't as irritating as she always is! Anyways will put in my two cents after I watch the movie next week!

Yes man, it was an awesome movie.

I will add a few more…..

Cinematography is exceptional; Rajiv has once again proved that he is one of the best in the business .

Mani is in his elements – Direction is Outstanding.
My favorite scene is -- Abishek meeting with Minister. I believe he has executed this scene very cleverly. I guess many people would not have understood how he convinced the minister.

The song after the Baby’s birth is a colossal waste, Before that the movie was moving smoothly, but this song was like a speed breaker. Ouch it really hurt me. Even Madhavan and Vidya balan romance was not really necessary.

On the Whole the movie is PISA VASOOL

My two cents (or dollars or whatever] for the movie. Just too good.

Now I plan to have two Ab movies in my DVD collection. Sarkar and Guru.
[The collection still is in the pipeline, the list is growing long. I guess personal loan ke liye apply karna hoga :)]

To me, the movie was just Okie. I kind of didn’t enjoy watching it, just for the fact it entertained me for the 3 hours. I can’t blame any thing in particular, but to be frank it was missing something vital. But I really should appreciate the excellent back-drop and its making. Every frame proves it. I would give it a 3/5!
