Caller Tunes!

It has come to such a state that people identify others with their caller tunes. Oh! That fellow who has this and this caller tune.

The other day my sis asked me, 'Bhai, suggest some good caller tune for me'.
The best I could come up with was, 'Put something u identify yourself with'.

I don’t know why I said so but when later I was thinking about it -
Wat does a caller tune say about the person on the other side of the phone... What kind of tune would anyone like to put... lets me take the song 'Main hoon Don...' and now who all would put this tune -

* Someone who's name is Don. Had my name been Don I would have :)

* Criminals and Dons or someone aspiring to be a Don or Criminal ;)

* Someone who liked the movie or the music or the song.

* Someone who is a big fan of Big B or SRK and by putting this tune he/she is paying tribute to the film and their acting.

* Someone who thinks that this tune is happening because the people who he considers hip have put this tune.
And there can be many more reasons but these are the ones I can think of.

I am sure these mobile service providers make huge money out of this caller tune business. Latest one being ‘greet ur valentine with some special song’ – they don’t miss out on any season and reason ;)

As far as I m concerned I would not spend my money to make people have an impression of me based on some caller tune. This is my current state of mind, I have always been a believer of the fact that things change and people change... so a time can come when I'll also put some caller tune but for now I would rather spent that money on pani-puris (aka Gupchups, Golgappas, Putchkas).

* I wonder what kind of caller tunes Subodh s wil have… I should call a few of them and check it out ;)

Heda,
Here we meet.
Caller tunes and ring tones- just show off. Today when we are not sure about our identities, how can one even think about relating to a tone or identifying with a tune. Strange naa!!

And yes pani puri... even I would prefer them. :)

On the contrary , everything that one does can be seen as a statement. The college goer sporting a death metal T is also doing the same thing. While some call it 'Loud' and ostentatious , others might feel it allows them to express their individuality. But I have to admit i am no stickler for caller tunes either.. Keep posting Heda !

Hello Heda!

Its been ages I have been thru a blog and for that matter put some comments!

Well..whether something is a waste of money or not depends totally on ur relative preferances in life.U cannot have everything..u cannot like all of it either..u go for watever appeals u more on a relative scale..and time does surely change the wants/desires of life..
I would prefer having a caller tune on my phone..not because I dont like pani-puris..but because I also love music..It is no show off to me..I would love to have my favoutite song as a caller tune..and let people have a nice time when I am too busy/lazy to pick up the phone!!
Please note even big companies have 'ON-HOLD' tunes..!!
and trust me..no one gets back at me asking..why a caller tune..?
instead I hear..'Arre Don!!'..

One more thing..
There are few things in life which u urself would not indulge in ..but would like it when someone else does ..!!

CHEERS!!
